Yong An Park
The renovation of a 3000 sq. ft apartment in Singapore's Yong An Park residential complex
The concept of the space is retro-clean, where the modern era embraces the 50s, the 60s, and the 70s. Soft edges and organic shapes flow along the space, and the integrated furnishing components, like the hidden kitchen cabinets, bookshelves, and entrance storage. The customized furniture pieces blend in, creating a practical continuity between zones.
Cabinets were hidden in the walls, connecting the library to the living room and kitchen area. Terrazzo and different engineered stones were the primary materials for furnishing and finishes. Together with the tightly woven upholstery, they diminish the house's allergen sources.
